• Our mission is to perform in the Hungarian communities across Ontario at different venues.
  • Our motto is to uphold our Hungarian heritage.
  • We wish to promote the Hungarian musical traditions at social events, conferences and exhibitions.
  • We perform in different Christian churches, ecumenical services, advent, Christmas, Lenten, Easter, Pentecost services.

Established in January 2015, Harmonia Hungarica sings as a semi-professional women’s a cappella chamber choir under the direction of Katalin Végh. Although new as a choral ensemble, the ladies of Harmonia Hungarica are no strangers to the stage.

Their collective performances and experience include the Mendelssohn choir, prominent positions in orchestras across Ontario, a Gold Record award, and several of them are organists or section leads in various Toronto churches.

We have a range of repertoire from Renaissance to contemporary, mostly sacred in Latin or Hungarian.

So far we have performed works by Bruck, Clemens non Papa, Palestrina, Lassus, Victoria, Anerio, Lotti, Martini, Pergolesi, Zingarelli, Verdi, Weber, Bartók, Kodály, Halmos, Bárdos, Kocsár.
